So I tried to log in to my block site on my computer and for some reason it wouldn’t accept my password which is weird because it’s the same one I use on my mobile device which is what I am blogging on now.
I’m doing this voice to text so if there’s any weirdness or awkward pacing then I’m going to blame it on that and be done with it lol.
So today I launched my NFT collection Twillingate Explored and while it’s gained a lot of activity on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook there haven’t been any sales. I would be more discouraged if it weren’t for the stories of other photographers that I’ve been reading that waited a long time for their collections to move as well.
Look I knew this wasn’t going to be a Is get rich quick scheme or anything like that. I knew it wasn’t going to be as easy as posting a bunch of photos and having people spend their hard earned money on them. It’s going to take time to build an audience and to get people engaged in what I’m doing.
I still very much believe in the platform and the idea of NFTS.
Tomorrow morning though I am getting up and visiting one of my favorite places and doing some much needed photo therapy.
Until tomorrow have a great evening and we will speak soon.
This town, the people in it, the buildings, the landscapes… oh lord… the sunsets are simply soul infusing events really.
I have only scratched the surface here.
When I started this, I was apprehensive about how I could fill eight weeks of work here and remain fresh, relevant. I need not have worried at all. There’s a lifetime of artistic growth here. I can’t wait to take the lesson I learn here out into the field elsewhere and continue to showcase and celebrate the locations I visit.
One thing I VERY VERY much enjoyed was shooting the culinary experience offered by Experience Twillingate. This was something new to me and I was surprised by how much I loved it, and the quality of the photos were amazing. I know that having a library of photo’s to use for social media is a priceless resource to operators and it was a pleasure to provide Crystal with photos that I hope and have to believe will bring some more people her way.
This is a service I would be happy to provide to other operators. If you have a business and would like a professional portfolio of photos at a reasonable price, please reach out, we’ll chat and make it happen!
Today I took a little drive off Twillingate island and ended up in Boyds Cove where I found a treasure of photo opportunities. These places, the structures, the objects are all being assaulted by the passage of time and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to capture them before the succumb history.
I have a couple of older heritage and historical buildings booked to visit and photograph this week and I simply cannot WAIT to get into those spaces and tell their stories.
For now I leave you with some captures from today. I tried some different editing techniques on these to varying levels of success.
I do hope you are enjoying these blogs, if there is anything else you would like to see here please let me know!
